S’more: Wrapping up the year with a fireside treat 🪵🍢

By admin July 22, 2026

The “S’more” was born out of fireside camping traditions in the early 20th century. Legend has it that S’mores were discovered by young students roasting treats over a campfire during a Girl Scout camp. Once they tasted it, it was so delicious that they kept saying “Gimme Some More,” which eventually morphed into the name “S’more” that we use today.

S’mores are an absolute staple of campfires across the United States, Mexico, and Canada so much so that if you lack this menu on a campfire night, the experience feels incomplete. This treat is incredibly easy to make with just three ingredients: graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate. You simply skewer them and roast them over the fire, waiting for the marshmallow to get perfectly gooey and melted against the chocolate. Sandwiched between the crackers, you get that perfect crunchy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside texture. Eating this during the year-end season makes it taste even better, making it the ultimate winter comfort snack. Go ahead and say “Gimme Some More!”
